Sustainability Chronicles: Recycled Wraps
How do you kill three birds with one stone? Recycling of course!
For homeschool crafting projects, we took a paper grocery bag and opened it up, cutting off the bottom rectangle of the bag and removing the handles. The bag lays out flat into a large rectangle. Have your kiddos color and decorate the bag. Then, use it to wrap a gift. Take the bottom of the bag (the rectangle you cut out to lay the bag flat) and fold it into quarters. Cut the quarters into strips, leaving about 1" free from cutting at the bottom. Affix with a glue gun, fluff the strips, and decorate with found objects, candy, etc. Recycle, homeschool crafting, and wrapping paper in one!
